1. Diamond, the grey horse above, is a 17h, 12 yr old Irish Sporthorse. He
came to CHESS for initial training. Was unmanageable outside a fenced arena. Was disrespectful to his owner and all who
came in contact with him. We worked 2 weeks in the round pen (he was combative) and 1 week outside the round pen. Respect
became his middle name. He became a perfect gentleman. We rode him on a trail with little incident.
2. Ruben, the chestnut, exhibited dangerous behavior (we called
it "rooting"), had never had a saddle on, refused to pick up feet, but was rideable in 4 weeks. Ruben became a
gentleman. His dangerous behavior receded, but will always be present. He thinks twice and chooses not to exhibit
dangerous behavior. The owner worked hard to understand how we got from "Point A" to "Point B."
